This forum was a godsend when I first stumbled upon it... living in southern California, Tequila selections were abundant; life was grand. Then I headed out to the Midwest- land of "good luck finding any good tequilas." Well my stint in various Midwestern states is over and it's off to the pacific north west!

Anyone from the PDX area got any recommendations?!

Portland is a great town, but the tequila selection sucks. Both Oregon and Washington have state run stores, but Washington voters have a chance to change that in Nov. and the polls show it will pass. So if that happens drive across the bridge from Portland to Vancover Wa and shop for your tequila . Portland does have a few tequila bars and Clayton Szczech who is a forum member has been having tequila tastings once a month he also runs Experience Tequila and lives in town. Five or six months out of the year it is wonderful here, but I have to say it does rain and you might not see the sun much during the winter if at all. Time to sit back and sip tequila. We leave and go to Lake Havasu AZ, after I retired the grey days of winter were to much for us. Let me know when you get here and we'll meet up for a drink. If you have questions let me know. I'll PM you a few links

When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

Hey Sipper - Don't know how I missed this until now. Are you settled in yet? We have a Tequila Tasting Club get-together TONIGHT. PM, call or check my Website for details.

In any case, I'd be happy to give you my two cents on tequila in Stumptown. Welcome!
