Las Vegas Tequila Fest 2010 Worth Going? Rate Topic:

I'm headed for a family birthday party in Vegas the weekend of September 17th, which appears to be the same weekend as the Tequila Fest.

There aren't any comments in this forum about last year's event (after the fact) -- and the photos from the official website are not inspiring. Did anybody attend last year, or does anyone know much about this year's event? Not sure if dropping $60 (Fri) or $80 (Sat) is worth it, or if time and money would be better spent at a nice tequila bar in Vegas (wherever that may be).

Thoughts would be appreciated -- thanks! :t_up:

Last year was a bit of a step down in size from the previous year... with that said I think it almost didn't happen last year.... so with that in mind. If you are there anyway might be worth checking it out, watch their web site and get a feel if they are putting more effort into it this year. We usually do this one, SOM, then LB but it looks like they moved weekends so we won't be going to LV this year. Good tequila bar is Diegos in MGM, forum memeber is a bartender there and came on the tour one year. Why not come down a wek early and join everyone in SD?

Last years event was a relative bust.
Just a few vendors, less than 10, Don Pilar was a standout, and he was there!
Not even sure there will be one this year??
If you are in Vegas always look up the guys at Diegos, they will treat you right!
SOM is in another league!
probably close to 100 vendors and a lot of forum members

Big Doh here, both events are on the same weekend. Thanks for pointing that out 45.

DP SD is just a small pond hop from LV, whens the bday? SWA has good flight prices.

Take the money you'd spend at the LV Tequila Festival and spend it at Diego's! Or better yet, save the money and buy a ticket to SD to join a ton of gret vendors and forum members usher in Mexican Independance Day. Looks like I pretty much echoed Wichie's comments but never a bad thing!

Thanks all. SoM clearly sounds like a great event, I just can't make it. At lest until that event changes weekends, or about year 2025, whichever occurs sooner. :rolleyes:
